Police have charged a Gundagai man with dangerous driving offences following a fatal two-car collision on the Hume Highway near Tumblong on Saturday afternoon.
About 1.20pm, emergency services attended the scene where a Nissan Patrol, towing a trailer, and a Toyota Hilux Utility had collided.
The 60-year-old male driver of the Nissan, from Albury, died at the scene.
NSW Police stated on Sunday afternoon that the male driver of the Hilux, aged 31, had been charged with four offences.
The charges including dangerous driving occasioning death - drive manner dangerous, negligent driving (occasioning death), cause bodily harm by misconduct, in charge of motor vehicle and negligent driving (no death or grievous bodily harm).
He was granted strict conditional bail and will appear at Gundagai Local Court on October 17.
A 65-year-old female passenger in the Nissan Patrol was conveyed to Wagga hospital on Saturday.
She was in a stable condition and was being treated for injuries to her shoulder as of Sunday afternoon.
The Daily Advertiser understands that the woman was also from Albury.
