The university side secured their place in the Southern Inland decider after a 32-14 victory over Albury at Exies Oval on Saturday.
Albury scored a 46-15 win when the teams met earlier this month, and Aggies were thrashed 55-12 in the major semi-final last week, but they put the poor results behind them with a strong performance in the preliminary final.
Ag College bounced out of the blocks, but needed to come from behind to secure consecutive grand final appearances.
Coach Will Mitchell was thrilled with the turnaround.
"The boys really came out with the right attitude physically and we knew if we did that then we would be a good show," Mitchell said.
"Both sides had a massive defensive effort and it was one of those games for whoever held the ball for the longest.
"They were the walking wounded with 10 to go and it was just a matter of closing it out by putting the ball in the right spots but the boys had the maturity to do it.
"It shows how far they have come with their maturity."
It's sets up another clash with one of their biggest rivals.
Waratahs have won all three meetings this season, and haven't been beaten by Ag College since 2015, but Mitchell knows his side has what it takes to challenge the premiers.
"There is still one to go," Mitchell said.
"We're not here to make up numbers and need to roll that performance into next week."
Ag College welcomed back Gabe Brown to their front row for the clash and it definitely showed.
They dominated scrums, and also had good success against the Albury line out.
Mitchell was also pleased with how well they retained possession to put the Steamers under pressure.
Aggies went out to a 10-0 lead after a Hamish Pennington penalty goal and then a converted try to Duncan Woods.
However Albury responded with a try to Simon Clements but went into the break trailing 13-7 after another Pennington penalty goal and some missed opportunities of their own.
They then hit the front minutes after half-time when Liam Krautz scored but with their set piece struggling Ag College were able to take advantage.
Brown got the Wagga side back in front before Pat Lemmich was able to score off Aggies' dominant scrum.
A late try to Luke Turner then sealed the victory.
Ag College also set up a clash against 'Tahs in second grade.
