A RIVERINA man is set to face court after police raided his home and found illegal weapons and explosives.

About 5.40pm on Friday, Riverina detectives and uniformed police officers attended a semi-rural premises in Khancoban, about 80km south of Tumbarumba.
They executed a search warrant and found an unregistered .22 calibre rifle, a set of knuckle dusters and small amount of unauthorised fireworks.
Riverina Police District Superintendent Bob Noble said the man, 31, has been charged with possessing an unauthorised firearm, failing to keep firearm safe, possessing a prohibited weapon and possessing explosives.
The man is set to face Tumut Local Court on September 5.
Superintendent Noble said the incident resulted from Operation Armour, a crackdown on illegal guns.
"It's an ongoing effort to take unauthorised weapons off the streets," he said.
