Crews will undertake a low intensity prescribed burn in a small three hectare area within the Kapooka military area from 11am to 4pm.
NSW RFS operational officer Bradley Stewart advised local residents not to be alarmed if they observed smoke.

He said the burn will be "a vital tool" for preparing crews for the upcoming bush fire danger period.
"This prescribed burn will also help towards protecting military infrastructure within Kapooka, as well as, the adjoining communities of San Isidore and Kapooka Village from any future bush fires," he said.
Mr Stewart said the success of the prescribed burns depends largely on the weather and that favourable conditions are forecast for Monday.
