Injuries have kept Rose to just six games this season but the Bulls playmaker only needs to get through training on Thursday night to get the green light for his return.

Rose has injured his hamstring three times this season but hopes he will be fit and firing to take on the Bulls at Twickenham on Sunday.

"If I get through training, at this stage, I'll be right," Rose said.

"I did the session (on Tuesday night) and got through that good. As long as I get through the session later in the week and there are no problems with it, I'll be looking to play.

"Touch wood it will be right. It's been a bit of a rollercoaster season."

Rose's return will be just what Southcity are looking for after going down to Brothers 26-18 in Sunday's final round.

It dropped the Bulls to third place on the Group Nine ladder and now they face a tough trip to Tumut, with the winner to meet Gundagai a week later in the second semi-final.

Rose, one of Group Nine's most dangerous players, hopes he can come in and make a positive impact.

"I'll try to steer us around the park a little bit," he said.

"Hopefully I can come in and play my role."

Southcity are looking to make it through to their fourth straight Group Nine grand final.

Rose, who will take over the coaching reins from Kyle McCarthy next season, believes there is still plenty of life in the Bulls' campaign.

"It's been one of those seasons where anyone can win on their day," he said.

"We beat Tumut earlier in the year and then they beat us last time and with finals footy, the better team on the day wins.

"We;ve got a bit of (finals) experience there but you've still got to turn up on the day and get the job done."

While Rose still has to get through Thursday night's final training session, the Bulls will also be sweating on the fitness of prop Hayden Jeans, who injured his calf in the loss to Brothers last Sunday.

Jeans went off in the opening minutes and never returned.
