Solo Ollie was sent crashing to the deck in his last start, but made it two wins in his last three races for Wagga trainer Adam Oliver at Wagga on Sunday.
Using the one box to his advantage, Solo Ollie was able to lead all the way to take out a heat of the Ladbrokes 1-3 Wins (400m) series.
The final will be run at the club's next meeting on Friday.
Garry Anesbury's King Kohli and Brian Smith's Epsom Express won the other heats.
The victory was part of a double for Oliver who also tasted success with Tranquil Flynn in the following race.
Cowra trainer Rod McDonald also scored a winning double on the 11-race card.
He first struck success with Dana Ali before Largen In Charge took out the last race.
Both greyhounds made it consecutive wins on the track.
