The Wagga side put in their most complete performance of the year as they ran riot in the major semi-final at Conolly Rugby Complex on Saturday.

The minor premiers scored nine tries to two as they embarrassed Ag College 55-12.

Co-coach Angus Stevenson is pleased with how the side is stepping up in time for the biggest games of the year.

"It's finally good to be able to bring elements of what we are doing on the training paddock to game day," Stevenson said.

"It's starting to click, there is a good energy and it is fun to be apart of."

It was a nervy start from Ag College and their more experienced rivals made them pay.

Jock Munro crossed after five minutes before tries to Dan Selmes, Callum Ramm and George Mallat had the premiers well clear.

Waratahs found plenty of space out wide but went into the break leading 31-0 as Sam Bunny converted a push over effort right on half-time.

Ag College responded as Pat Lemmich crossed nine minutes into the half but Waratahs still found plenty of ways to make their crosstown rivals pay on the scoreboard.

A penalty try, for dragging down a scrum, before a double to Nathanael Mooney, who earlier scored four in their second grade win, and a late try to Tom Hobbs continued Waratahs' day out.

A try to Matt Harris gave Ag College something to cheer for late but they will need to do plenty of soul searching to do if they are to set up another grand final date with Waratahs.

They now have to travel to Griffith to face Albury, fresh off a 17-14 win over the Blacks, to keep their premiership hopes alive.

The Steamers scored a 46-15 win over Aggies three weeks ago and coach Will Mitchell is looking for a lot better from his side.

"When it comes to executing we just seem to find an excuse not to," Mitchell said.

"We're not supporting our mates when we have the ball and I'm extremely embarrassed by that performance."

Mitchell was disappointed by the side's inability to sustain periods of possession.

He knows they must turn the corner quickly.

"We are either one or off," Mitchell said.

"And it doesn't seem like we're off for three or four minutes, like good sides are, but we're off for 40.

"If we play like that again we're going to get embarrassed next week."
