Richards will bypass Saturday's Narrandera race meeting after getting two rides at Randwick instead.
Richards will shoot for three straight on Whisky 'n' Diamonds when they tackle the $75,000 TAB Highway Class Three Handicap (1300m).
He then has also been given the opportunity on Wanna Get A What for Gratz Vella in the $125,000 Benchmark 78 Handicap (1000m).
Richards is looking forward to the opportunity of riding at a Saturday city meeting.
"I'm pretty excited. I'll go and enjoy the day," Richards said.
Richards has only had two rides on the Greg Backhouse-trained Whisky 'n' Diamonds for two wins. Those wins came at his home track at Moruya at odds of $61 and $9.50.
"He's been going good," Richards said.
"It will be a tougher race on Saturday. There's a few horses in it that have been running in Highways week after week.
"I'd say he'll get back. The Highways always seem to be run a bit quicker than the average race. The way he's been going, it would be nice to see him run a good race."
Richards was also happy to pick up the ride on Wanna Get A What from Vella.
"For him to want me to ride the horse was pretty good," he said.
Whisky 'n' Diamonds is a $41 chance and Wanna Get A What is $34.
