The Wagga side have won nine of their last 12 games to move into fifth.
However one of those losses was a horror display against Southcity, their rivals at Equex Centre on Sunday.
The Bulls scored a 46-6 win at Harris Park the last time the two crosstown rivals met.
Coach Peter Little accused the side, who conceded 46 unanswered points in the clash, of "throwing in the towel" and giving up after the thrashing.
However it seems to be the wake up call they needed and they've only suffered a two-point loss to Gundagai since.
After turning around their form, Brothers have one eye on making amends for their last showing against the Bulls on Sunday.
"We want to concentrate on one turning around the result from the last time we played and two show the competition we are the real deal," Cameron Breust said.
The Brethren are also using the clash with the Bulls, who returned to form to down the Tigers last week, as a real litmus test for where they are at.
"We're really looking forward to this week," Breust said.
"We haven't played a top five team in the last month so it will be good to finish the season off knowing exactly where we are at leading into the finals."
Plenty of soul searching after the Southcity loss has delivered the results.
Their attack is what has pleased Breust the most.
"Our attack has been absolutely unreal and credit where it is due to our forwards who have been playing some outstanding footy," he said.
"It is quite easy to play off the back of our big guys when they are rolling forward as well as they are at the moment."
However Brothers have to prove they've got what it takes against the best.
They put big scores on low ranked Cootamundra, Temora and Junee in the last three weeks following the 18-16 loss at Anzac Park, but the three sides have three wins between them over the last seven rounds.
Breust returns to halfback for clash after playing at hooker to help cover injuries in the forward pack.
However with most of their players back on deck in time for finals, he'll move back to his preferred position with Aaron Wynne back at hooker.
Regardless of the result Brothers head to Albury to face the Thunder in an elimination final at Greenfield Park next Saturday.
One the other hand a Southcity win could see them move into second depending on the result of the top-of-the-table clash between Tumut and Gundagai.
