Tigers' minor premiership hopes will go on the line when they tackle the in-form Coolamon at Robertson Oval.

A win and Tigers will return to top spot with just one round remaining, but lose and Coolamon will claim the minor premiership.

Maiden is not interested in the minor premiership however and is more focused on what his team produces in response to last week's shock seven-point loss to Turvey Park.

"The most important thing for me is how we respond," Maiden said.

"We need to make sure we get back to playing our style of footy. We allowed Turvey Park to dictate the way the game was played last week and we didn't do enough to get the game back on our terms.

"I suppose it would be nice to say we finished on top but it doesn't guarantee you anything. Griffith can vouch for that. The only thing it guarantees is the first week off."

Tigers will be without key forward Josh Gaynor, after he suffered a minor hamstring strain late against Turvey Park last week.

Tom Keogh will be right to play after copping a corked calf last week, while Tigers are hoping to welcome back Jacob Osbeiston (hamstring) and Reid Gordon (ankle) back, pending how they get through the final training session.

Shaun Driscoll is still one week away from returning from a broken arm.

Tigers, up until last week's loss, had won seven straight games, starting with a 33-point win over Coolamon at Kindra Park.

The Hoppers have now won seven straight themselves and Maiden is wary of the in-form Coolamon team.

"I probably won't mention it but (last time) does give us a little bit of confidence," he said.

"What does give us a bit of confidence is that we've beaten every team in the competition but every week is different and we totally get that and understand that.

"We'll need to be at the top of our game and will have to play some really good footy because they're probably the form side of the competition. If you listen to what everyone says, they're premiership favourites. So we'll need to play our best footy."

Some believe last week's defeat was the loss Tigers needed to have heading into finals.

Maiden does not necessarily agree but believes there are positives to take from it.

"I'm not sure is there is ever a loss you need to have but in the long run in might be a good thing," he said.

"Winning sometimes marks over the cracks so for us to find out a little bit should help us going forward."

Tigers finish with Griffith in the final round, while Coolamon face Leeton.
