The Hoppers can seal the club's first minor premiership since 2013 if they can beat Wagga Tigers at Robertson Oval on Saturday.

Coolamon have put together seven straight wins since going down to Tigers by 33 points at Kindra Park back in June.

Maslin, who sat out that game due to injury, believes the football Tigers produced that day is the benchmark heading into his first meeting with his former club.

"Obviously now we're sitting outright top on the ladder, which is the perfect spot to be going into the Tigers game at Robbo, which is going to be huge for us," Maslin said.

"They're probably the only team that's really got a hold of us this year, that first half against us was some of the best footy I've seen so we've got a bit of a point to prove.

"Hopefully we can give it a red hot crack."

Tigers will be looking to bounce back after suffering a surprise seven-point loss to Turvey Park last Saturday.

It ended Tigers' own seven-game winning run.

Maslin was back to his brilliant best in Coolamon's latest win over Collingullie-Glenfield Park, taking a number of marks across half-forward.

The 23-year-old has kicked 19 goals from seven games in his first season back since 2014.

Maslin could not be happier with how the Hoppers are travelling just two weeks out from finals.

"It's been unbelievable. I've been away from the RFL for so long as well, I honestly had no idea if we were any good going into round one. Because you just don't know what the competition's like," he said.

"We've got a lot of younger blokes but they've just stepped up this year and been unbelievable."

Coolamon sit one game ahead of second-placed Tigers going into Saturday.

A win to Tigers would put them back on top, on percentage, heading into their final round game against Griffith. Coolamon have Leeton-Whitton in the last round.
