Airborne Gymnastics coach Christina Judd is confident her charges will acquit themselves well at this weekend's Winter State Championships in Sydney after returning home with medals at the recent NSW Country Championships.

Four gymasts from the Wagga club, Eden Lyons (11), Charlotte Makehan (11), Sophia Fiumara (14) and Brianna Tsang (10) will take on the state's best at Sydney Gymnastics Centre on Saturday and Sunday.
Tsang placed sixth overall in the under-14 division in level seven at the country championships, including bronze on the beam, and ninth in level seven overall.
Lyons finished sixth on the floor in level five while Makehan claimed silver on the vault in the same division.
"There was about 200 gymnasts in level five and about 60 qualified (for states)," Judd said.
"It's a lot harder (to qualify) than it used to be, they take the best from the city and country clubs and they compete against each other.
"Brianna completed level seven and finished sixth which is a really great result. The girls that placed in front of her were NSW representatives this year, so she did well to finish in the top ten."
Judd has belief they will hold their own against high quality city rivals.
"They'll go pretty well. They've had a couple of placings (at the country championships) so it shows they have potential," she said.
"If you're putting yourself in that frame already there's a good chance if you have a good routine you can medal, it's not impossible but it's hard to do against so many high quality kids."
