The Lions ensured they will head into finals with plenty of momentum after downing the undermanned Swans at Exies Oval, 13.13 (91) to 9.9 (63).
The win also kept the door slightly ajar for the Lions to replace Griffith in third, pending results over the final two rounds of the competition.
Jacob Olsson led the charge for GGGM with another best-on-ground performance, while Ben Walsh starred up forward with five goals.
GGGM coach Christin Macri conceded it was an important win to get heading into finals.
"You come over here and you're keen to play well. It's always a good challenge playing Griffith over here. They're a good side. They had some guys missing today but still more importantly we wanted to win," Macri said.
"We had our poor performance against Mango and really made sure that the plan was have three consistent weeks of footy left leading into the finals. We've knocked off two now and we've got to make sure we do it again next week before we have a bye.
"So in that regard it's certainly what we're after and to win by nearly five goals is very pleasing."
GGGM led by eight points at three-quarter-time and kicked five goals with the wind in the final term to cement the win.
Aside from Olsson and Walsh, Aaron and Scott Proctor, along with Dan Foley, enjoyed strong games.
Will Griggs and James Toscan led the way for Griffith, who face MCUE and Wagga Tigers to finish the season.
