SES Southern Zone community capabilities officer Ian Leckie said the family's Kia Carnival got into trouble along Old Tumbarumba Road near Batlow at about 8am.
"There were three kids and four adults and the SES went up there to get them out," he said.
"I don't think there were any injuries.
"They were stuck in snow. Police would have been on scene as well."
Further details were not available at the time of publication as SES personnel were in the field on Sunday as a cold snap brought up to one centimetre of snow from the highlands to as far south as The Rock.
