After winning the first two instalments of the primary school football competition, South Wagga advanced to the decider later this month with a 1-0 semi final win over Wagga Wagga Public School at Duke of Kent Oval on Thursday.
Jack Rodham scored in the first half to ensure his team made the final after conceding just one goal in five games.
Mater Dei qualified via a 6-0 victory over Henschke Primary School, with Kade Lyons bagging four goals, while Ashton Richardson and Charlie Doherty also scored.
"The final has always been a close and competitive game," Football Wagga development officier Liam Dedini said.
"South Wagga have already said they want to keep their name on the trophy and have no one else on it as long as they can, but Mater Dei definitely has a chance to do it this year with a very strong team."
The girls competition will be held at Duke of Kent Oval on Friday, with semis at 2.10pm.
