Amy Combs (15), Luke Nixon (14), Rhys Thomas (nine), Lexie Phillips (10) and Carrington Oke (nine) all have ambitions of finishing in the top three of their divisions.
Thomas, Phillips and Oke will compete in the under-11s, where they will do a maximum of 4km per race, while Combs and Nixon will race in the under-17s.
The quintet have been performing well in junior tours around the state and are aiming for top three finishes.
"I know all five kids have aspirations of coming home with a medal, and I think all of them have a chance to do that," Wagga Cycling Club coach Cameron Oke said.
"Amy's a really good long distance rider and will be focused on a top five or three in the time trial and road race, while Luke is wanting a top five finish in all three events.
Lexie's the reigning silver medalist at the Country Championships and Rhys has been training the house down."
Thomas said his goal was to make the top five and is targeting a big performance in the time trial.
"I used to go off the back (in the junior tours) but now I'm staying on and being a contender. I like uphill finishes," he said.
Nixon said selection in the state squad for national championships is the minimum aim.
"My goal is obviously to win, but hopefully make top five," he said.
"Realistically you want to make the state team, they take four so you want to be in there.
"A lot of the older guys have more experience than me and I've only been in the sport just over a year, but it (racing against older riders) has helped me develop a lot."
