For the past 25 years APM has helped more than 900,000 people overcome barriers to finding and staying in work.
APM started in 1994 by offering workplace rehabilitation services to companies in Western Australia.
"For more than 23 years we have been improving the lives of people through sustainable work and helping companies increase the wellbeing and productivity of their employees," business manager Kimberley Holgate said.
"Today we are an international provider of employment, disability, assessment, health and injury management services in more than 380 locations across Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
"Our Employment Services teams specialise in helping people overcome barriers to finding and staying in work, while assisting businesses to recruit and retain a diverse and valuable workforce.
"Our teams are committed to understanding the needs of each client and delivering a personal, professional service to ensure they receive the support needed.
"Our purpose is to enable better lives."
Their Disability Employment Services and jobactive programs help participants create a personal job plan.
School students, unemployed or anyone worried about keeping their current job can get help from the dedicated team with:
- Finding strengths, skills and interests
- Searching for the right job and finding a career path
- Managing health issues that make it difficult to find work
- Tools and training to help with resume and job interviews
- Building skills with training such as short courses, apprenticeships, or job placement
This support doesn't end when their client lands a job. They work with their clients and new employers to provide the workplace support needed.
This can include support to learn the role and workplace requirements, help with issues that might arise and joining discussions with employer where appropriate, working with medical services and ensuring there's access to equipment, software or workplace adjustments if needed.
