Gestier was reported for striking Ganmain-Grong Grong-Matong's Lachie Parker during the third quarter of Sunday's loss to the Lions.
It was graded as intentional, low impact and high contact.
Gestier was able to accept a one-game suspension with an early guilty plea.
It is his second suspension this season after only returning from a two-game ban for umpire abuse last weekend.
It means Gestier will be unable to coach or play for Collingullie-Glenfield Park in Saturday's game against Narrandera at Crossroads Oval.
The Demons lost to Narrandera earlier in the year and must win on Saturday to be any chance of playing finals.
Collingullie-GP sit in sixth and are a game plus percentage outside the top five.
