Football Wagga development officer Liam Dedini says Wagga City Wanderers Samantha Emms, Megan Castle and Piper Lockley did their talent identification chances no harm after playing pivotal roles in NSW Country's success at last week's National Youth Championships at Coffs Harbour.

Playing in group B, NSW Country 15 years girls won three and drew one of their pool games to finish three points clear of Northern NSW.
Castle played mostly up front and scored a handful of goals, while keeper Emms and Lockley were also influential.
Dedini was the teams' goalkeeping coach for the championships, where they beat South Australia 5-1, drew 1-all with Northern NSW and beat Tasmania 2-1.
"A few of the girls put themselves in a good position to be identified and put in the database to track," Dedini said.
"The whole week was just to get a taste of what it's like to be a professional footballer and play against the best.
"I dare say a few of those girls will put themselves in position to potentially be invited to further camps in Sydney.
"Ideally they've put themselves in that pathway to be identified for a NSW Institute team or a Future Matildas program in the future."
NSW Country also played a pool crossover game against a strong Newcastle outfit, going down 1-0.
Wagga City's Ashleigh Carty also featured for the NSW Country 14s, who finished fourth in their pool with two wins, a draw and two losses.
