First held in 2014 through a partnership between Wagga library and Charles Sturt University, the hub has grown its partner base. This year, 14 organisations help make the festival happen.
Life on the Levee will launch the festival on August 11. Starting from Lonergan Place playground at 10am, this walk will take in a 1.5km stretch of the levee bank.
Every evening from August 4 to September 1, see Future World, a digital animation projection created by Alice Peacock, a Wagga-based freelance animator.
Tolland Community Science Day participants will experience a range of activities demonstrated by Indigenous secondary students, along with elders and science outreach providers. More than 100 primary school students will take part in a day of fun science activities.
Kitchen Science Storytime will be held in the children's area of the library on Wednesday, August 14 and Friday, August 16 from 10.30-11.30am.
Dr Rina Fu from Perth will present three Quiet Science sessions on Thursday, August 15. She has developed a series of accessible experiences designed for people on the autism spectrum.
The week will be rounded out on Saturday, August 17 with a family science day, Future World, with the Civic Centre transforming into a science hub.
