The Wagga City Wanderers goalkeeper got the chance to rub shoulders with her heroes at the recent women's World Cup in France as part of an invitational team.
She got the chance to watch the Matildas train, watched their group games against Italy, Brazil and Jamaica and played four tour matches.
"We met all the Matildas and took some pictures with them, and followed them around France," the 15-year-old Mount Austin High School student said.
"It (opening loss to Italy) was unlucky but the Brazil one was really good, the atmosphere was awesome and lucky the girls had it in them to come back (from 2-0 down) and win the game.
"We didn't really talk because they were training but I talked to Lisa de Vanna, Ellie Carpenter and said hi to (Matildas keeper) Lydia Williams.
"Not many girls get the chance to go to another country and follow the Matildas."
Warner-Chilstone said she's looking forward to Wagga's first taste of the W-League when Sydney FC and Newcastle Jets play a trial game at Equex Centre in October.
"It will bring women's soccer up and knowing Wagga gets the chance for the big leagues to play here is good," she said.
Warner-Chilston got the chance to tour with the side after impressing for NSW Country at last year's National Youth Championships at Coffs Harbour.
