This year the concert will have a focus on the the city's up-and-coming youth in the form of talented musicians, vocalists and dancers.
The Supernova concert is set to be a performing arts extravaganza in two spectacular shows on Saturday, August 10 at the Civic Theatre.
Wagga High School student and singer Ned Prescott, who is 16-years-old, has the honour of performing the opening number at this year's concert.
"I have had the privilege of being a soloist last year and this year I am able to open the show with the opening song from The Greatest Showman," he said.
"It is a really special experience. It is amazing to have this year, as a school's concert, something that happens in a lot of other regional centres but not here.
In other news:
"It is really cool as far as development goes and it's a privilege to be a part of it."
Wagga mayoress Jenny Conkey said the concert will give young people an opportunity to show off their talents on stage in front of a large audience.
"There are some brilliant young performers in our community and this is an opportunity for them to take centre stage and show us their best," Mrs Conkey said.
"Often those skills and talents are hidden behind closed doors.
"I want to give them an opportunity to have the spotlight on them and let them shine like the stars that they are."
The proceeds from this year's concert will be donated to Carevan Wagga.
Mrs Conkey encouraged the broader community to get behind a worthy cause.
