Two points separate four teams eyeing off a finals berth with five rounds to play in the leaguetag competition.
Gundagai are eighth but only two points behind a finals spot after snapping a three-game losing streak with a 26-4 win over Cootamundra at Les Boyd Oval on Sunday.
Despite a 38-14 loss to Brothers on Saturday Kangaroos remain in fifth on percentage.
They scored an important win over Gundagai last week, but with four losses in their last five games the Wagga side needs to start winning to ensure they keep hold onto the finals place.
However they face another tough test against Temora, who extended their unbeaten start with a 40-14 win over Young on Sunday.
Sixth-placed Cootamundra have the bye and are guaranteed two points while Southcity are just a point behind heading into a clash with fourth-placed Albury after their 66-0 win over winless Junee.
