The West Wyalong hospital worker initially thought she'd won $1000 in the weekend's Saturday Lotto superdraw.

But she needed to add a few more figures to that - she's collected a staggering $1,428,571.

"When I realised it was almost $1.5 million I just burst into tears," she said.

"I started crying yesterday morning when I checked my entry online and I haven't stopped crying since.

"I still can't get over it. I kept looking at the results all day."

The woman, who was one of 14 division one winners who became instant millionaires overnight, has worked at the hospital her entire life.

She might now be a millionaire but there are no plans to retire any time soon - instead, a new house and a dream holiday is on the cards.

"I'm going to buy myself a new home," she declared.

"I'll be able to help my family and give to charity of course.

"I've saved madly for holidays all my life so I will be going on plenty more holidays, starting with England.

"I don't think I will retire just yet. I might keep working for a couple more years."

The ticket was bought online.

The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 3963 were 16, 5, 18, 41, 22 and 36, with supplementary numbers 1 and 7.

The West Wyalong winner joins a list of lucky Riverina winners this year.

A Wagga woman won just shy of $1 million after buying a Saturday Lotto ticket when she stopped at the Balranald newsagent on a road trip last month.
