Tarro's Fire and Rescue NSW crew were called to assist in the unusual rescue on Saturday afternoon.
"An interesting call for Tarro this afternoon with a horse stuck in a pool in Beresfield," the crew wrote on Facebook.
"Crews used two 70mm hoses one around the girth and one around the hind quarters to support and encourage the horse out of the pool."
Video of the rescue shows the crews pulling on the hose as the horse raises its front legs to step out of the pool.
