Habel made the move to Adelaide at the start of 2009 and will being up his 150^th first grade game for the Bulldogs against Sturt.

The 30-year-old won two premierships at the Lions as a youngster before going on to establish himself as both a loyal clubman and talented footballer for Central District.

Habel brushed aside the milestone as just 'another game' but admitted the life membership he received at the start of the season for 10 years service and 100 league games is something he will cherish.

"It's an individual badge of honour that I'm really proud of and is something that at the end of my career I'll be very proud to say I'm a playing life member at one club," Habel said.

"I know dad was a playing life member at Hamilton and so was my grandfather so I'm proud of that achievement."

Habel said the move to Adelaide is certainly one that he does not regret.

"I've obviously found a partner over here, I'm getting married in January, my brother Josh has moved over and I've made friends for life over here," he said.

"The footy club is genuinely like Ganmain was, a really family orientated club."

Habel spent his first season in Adelaide in the reserves and then made his debut in round one of 2010 he 'worked my backside off' in the off-season.

He lists Central District's 2011 grand final loss as his biggest regret but also explains that the missing SANFL premiership is what continues to drive him going forward.

Habel said he is 'extremely lucky' to have spent five seasons at GGGM under coaches Shane Lenon, Christin Macri, Christen McPherson and Daniel Rankin, which helped set him on his football career with a 'winning attitude'.

Habel also said he would not have been able to reach the milestone without the support of his family and friends.

Central District are enduring a tough year, having lost eight straight games and sit in eight position on the SANFL ladder.
