The Dragons have lost their last three to slip one win, plus percentage, out of the top five while their rivals are a further three points off the pace.
Coach Sam Elwin believes it is crucial clash.
"We're playing for our finals place and whoever losses this week can pretty much put a red line through their finals hopes," Elwin said.
"We definitely need to win this one, especially at home."
Temora fell away late against Albury in the 26-12 loss with Elwin believing the side ran out of legs with players backing up from reserve grade.
There chances haven't been helped by the loss of Matt Hughes (concussion) with his brother Grant returning from overseas to take his place.
The two teams played out a 22-all draw earlier in the season and the Dragons are looking for a big performance on their annual 'Red Day'.
