It will be a big day for the Hoppers as the club celebrates their 125-year anniversary.
Coolamon co-coach Jamie Maddox is big believer in learning the history and will ensure each senior player runs out onto Kindra Park with a good understanding of blood, sweat and tears that has shaped the club into what it is today.
"It's something that I harp on a bit, the history of the club," Maddox revealed.
"Just the pride and passion that players in the past have had to play for the Coolamon Football Club...and how proud you should be to pull on the green and white jumper every time you go out to play."
Coolamon will wear specially designed heritage jumpers to mark the occasion.
The design incorporates the style worn by Coolamon in the 1959 grand final triumph, which will hold a 60-year reunion on the day, and also lists the football premierships won by the clubs throughout the 125 years.
Maddox said it is a big occasion for both the club and team.
"It's a big week for the club and for the team I suppose you could say. It's twofold," he said.
"The club holding the 125 year reunion and it will be exciting to have everyone back, then in terms of our season, it's a big game again. It's similar to last week in terms of ladder position."
Only percentage separates the top three teams on the Riverina League ladder, with Coolamon trailing Wagga Tigers and Griffith in third position.
The top three teams hold a two-game gap on the chasing pack and that could increase to three games should results go the right way on Saturday.
"It's a big carat, a top three spot," Maddox said.
"It's like the Ganmain game last week, a win could set our season up and give ourselves a bit of space up the top of the ladder."
Coolamon defeated MCUE by 28 points earlier in the season but the Goannas had improved sharply since then, up until last week's 11-goal loss to Wagga Tigers.
The Hoppers have won four of their last five with a 33-point loss to Tigers their only slip up in recent times.
"They're quite a physical side, in and around the footy...and I'm sure they're going to want to come and knock us off on our reunion day," Maddox said.
More than 200 tickets have been sold to the function on Saturday night, where the jumpers will be auctioned off. Interviews will also be conducted with a number of the club's former coaches.
A booklet on the club's history will also be handed out at the gate on Saturday.
The start time of all three football games, at MCUE's request, have been brought forward half an hour with the main game to get underway at 1.40pm.
