Wagga City Council recorded no change to Lake Albert's water levels over the past two days, however there may be hope towards the end of the week.
"The rain is mostly clearing up now, partly cloudy days tomorrow and Wednesday with a medium chance of showers, but we are likely to receive more rain on Thursday and Friday with a 90 per cent chance of about 5-8mm," Nigel Smedley of Wagga's Bureau of Meteorology said.
The Murrumbidgee River is also not reaping any benefits of the past days' showers, according to a spokesperson for WaterNSW.
"On the information we have, rain recorded in the tributary areas around and upstream of Wagga has been in the range of 5-7 mm," they said.
In other news:
"These are very low falls on what is still a relatively dry catchment, and as such we are not expecting an increase at Wagga of any significance.
"Rain forecast for later in the week is looking somewhat promising, but with dry catchments, once again we are not expecting high inflows."
