Firefighters were kept busy last night with two car fires in Wagga in less than 12 hours.

A Turvey Park Fire and Rescue spokesperson said a crew was called out to Cooinbil Crescent in Kooringal at 7.45pm on Saturday night which took 40 minutes to extinguish.
"The second car fire was on Raye Street in Tolland at about 5.15am on Sunday morning," he said.
"That took about 30 minutes to extinguish."
The spokesperson said crews also attended a small fire in a toilet block at the Wagga Showgrounds.
Wagga registered more than 125 deliberately lit car fires in 2018.
For the years 2016 and 2017, there were 97 and 104 incidents, respectively.
