If the influx of letters I've received in the last couple of weeks is any guide, the answer is an emphatic 'no'.
There will be considerable community interest in Monday night's council meeting when a motion to declare a "climate emergency" goes up for debate.
An initiative of Councillor Vanessa Keenan's, the motion calls for the council "to recognise that climate change poses a serious risk to the people of Wagga Wagga and to commit to developing a Climate Emergency Plan in the 2019/2020 financial year".
Predictably, much of the debate in the lead up to the vote has featured the trading of barbs between climate change believers and sceptics.
But there is a serious, far more nuanced discussion that we, as a community, need to have in this space.
Advocates of the 'Think global, act local' mindset have welcomed the motion, arguing that everyone has a role to play in sustaining life on this planet we call home.
Others, regardless of whether they believe climate change is happening or not, question the role a council representing about 66,000 people should play in a world with a population of 7.3 billion people.
I wait with interest and anticipation to see if this council can get the balance right.
All the best for the week ahead, Ross.
