The former Queanbeyan Tigers big man signed with Temora at the end of May but has been on an overseas holiday, returning as the Kangaroos enjoyed a bye last week.
He assured coach Jake Wooden he was keeping himself in shape, was keeping an eye on their form, and was itching to join the ride. He'll get the chance to scratch that itch when he's thrown straight in to the role for Temora, with Chris Stacey unavailable on Saturday.
Temora even tinkered with their training this week, with a run on Friday night to cater for their Canberra-based players.
For Coleambally, it only adds to the challenge, as they try to find a way out of a two-week hole after losses to East Wagga-Kooringal and then The Rock-Yerong Creek.
Blues co-coach Mitch Carroll said they've "just stopped" in the second half and failed to react when the opposition took control.
"Everyone just stopped, we lost leadership and everything we'd done well just went out the window and we went back to old ways," Carroll said.
Last week's loss saw them miss a chance to move to fifth, instead slipping to eighth.
"It's a fair kick in the guts when you know where you could be and where you've ended up," Carroll said.
Coleambally will be without teenage rep player Jack Cullen who's been doing a job as a key forward.
"He's going to leave a hole, he's been in some good form and taken some good grabs of late, Jack. He's found his feet there at centre-half-forward, which is good from a young player, but full-forward Dwayne Weetra comes back in," Carroll said.
"We'll have Chris Hayes and Jesse Spencer back in. They're good ball users and hopefully we can go through them and win the contested footy and hopefully get the ball up to Dwayne and he can kick a few."
And they'll hand young ruckmen Darcy Mader and Brendan Hardy the responsibility of rising to the Tegart challenge.
"We don't know much about him but our young fellas have been working well. They're still pretty green but they've got some good on-ballers around them to point them in the right direction. And young blokes, you give them a challenge and get them fired up, if they win a couple of taps early, it can really help them," Carroll said.
Temora took the points when they met at Nixon Park, but did all the damage in a quarter. The Blues were on top in the first term and matched Temora in the second half.
But Matt Harpley (five goals for the game), Luke Gerhard (who was standing in as coach for the day), and midfielder Rob Krause led a second quarter onslaught that put the game to bed.
Wooden also comes back in this week adding to a dangerous Temora forward line including Jacob Turner and Harpley in the key roles with plenty of power in support.
