Kite broke his arm late in the loss to Tumut last week.
Dragons coach Sam Elwin described it as a massive loss.
"He's a massive loss but we're lucky Joey Leggatt plays a bit of hooker as well," Elwin said. "He was playing good footy in the second row but unfortunately we've got to move him."
Rory Block will also miss the clash against Albury at Greenfield Park on Sunday after a re-occurrence of a shoulder complaint.
Temora slipped out of the top five after successive losses adding even more emphasis on their road trip south against the fourth-placed Thunder.
Albury suffered a 54-14 loss against the now fifth-placed Brothers and Elwin expects them to be a lot better.
"I was very surprised by the scoreline especially knowing how well Albury played against us in Temora," he said.
"They're a side with a lot of talent."
He's looking for a bigger game himself.
Elwin was disappointed with usually pinpoint kicking game and wants to be much better against a Thunder outfit he's tasted plenty of success against.
"I was a bit disappointed in myself," he said.
"I needed to be a lot better on the last tackle, everyone played good, but I think I was the most disappointed I've ever been after a game."
Elwin is hopeful of having plenty of reinforcements the following week against Young with Block, Jake Milnes, Grant Hughes and Jarrod Lee set to return.
