Harry Nixon, one of the members, has been a member for 22 years and said there are many highlights.
"We are well known for doing the Australia Day barbecue," he said.
"We are always looking for new members, and it's a great way to make new mates."
Jack Morgan has been a member of the club for thirty years.
"It's important that we have service clubs to help put those who are disadvantaged," he said.
"We sponsor students to go overseas, and we welcome those students who come from overseas."
Wayne Hooper, the treasurer of the Kooringal Rotary, has been involved in the club for 18 years.
"We feel a gap where other community organisations can't afford to pay," he said.
Richard Strong, the president of the Kooringal Rotary, has been a part of the community effort for seven years.
"We do a lot with youth because they are our future," he said.
Kooringal Rotary's 50th-anniversary celebration and changeover are this Saturday at 6pm. Anyone interested needs to RSVP to lesleywayne@bigpond.com by Thursday at the latest.
