The Tigers lost Brock Dunn early in the second half of their 44-22 win over Young at Anzac Park on Sunday with fears the lock has fractured his arm.
There were plenty of points in the first half of the clash, with Gundagai taking a ... lead at half-time, but coach Adam Perry was pleased with how the premiers tightened things up in the second stanza.
"Off the back of a couple of injuries we've had to Matty (Lyons) and Seb (Cottam) and guys getting used to defending next to each other it probably only clicked in the second half," Perry said.
"We only completed at about 50 per cent in the second half but we still hold them out and they only scored once in the second half.
"I was pretty happy with that.
"Obviously completions weren't great but it was good we backed it up when we did make mistakes."
James Luff scored a hat-trick in another strong performance from the hooker, Royce Tout was much improved in his second game back at the club while Dunn was good before his injury.
