Henschke represented in both the boys and girls competitions. The boys went down to Albury Public School by just two points early, before beating Finley Public by two goals, and then losing to Griffith East.
Albury were too good for Griffith East in the decider, completing an unbeaten record at Robertson Oval to progress to next term's final in Sydney.
In the girls, Trinity Anglican College, Albury, claimed a dramatic finale, clinching their trip to Sydney with a one-point win against St Patrick's, Griffith. Henschke girls lost their three games, to the two eventual finalists and to Deniliquin South.
"We had great conditions and the Robbo Oval surface was really good. The standard was really good - the footy was a really high quality," Ben Walsh, AFL Southern NSW game development coordinator, said.
"Albury Public played a great brand of footy, they look like teenagers with the way they set up and move the footy.
"Henschke were thereabouts all day but weren't quite up to Albury.
"All the kids were really competitive. They all wanted to hook in and compete to try to get a trip to Sydney for the finals."
