According to the NRMA Fuel App, the average price for unleaded petrol is 140.2 cents per litre, with the cheapest costing 130.9 cpl and the most expensive costing 19 cents more, 149.9 cpl.
NRMA media adviser Bridget Ahern said there are a couple of factors that have led to falls in petrol prices.
"Prices across most of regional NSW have been falling the last five weeks," Ms Ahern said.
"We've seen pretty steady falls in world oil sales and gradual falls in wholesale prices, but falls in petrol don't happen quite as quickly compared to the cities.
"We advise Wagga drivers to be filling up on fuel as there are some really great prices out there."
Ms Ahern said there is some potential that prices might decrease further and are likely to last a couple more weeks.
"At the moment there is no reason for prices to go up, but could go down a couple of cents more," she said.
"We shouldn't see any changes in the next couple of weeks and it is good news for regional motorists as the prices never go quite as high as they do in Sydney.
"It pays to shop around for the best prices and check fuel apps.
"You do not want to pay more at one service station and then drive 10 minutes down the road where it is cheaper," she said.
Ms Ahern said drivers are likely to save $10 dollars at the pumps.
"These savings are much better in your pockets and we know families are feeling the pinch at the moment," she said.
"If motorists are heading south, Albury does have a slightly more competitive market and there are some cheaper prices about an hour down the road, so it might be better filling up down there if you're heading that way."
According to the NSW Fuel Check app, the cheapest fuel on Wednesday was at Metro Petroleum Alfredtown for unleaded 130.9 cpl, followed by a station closer to town: Ashmont's Metro Fuel that was charging 135.7 cpl.
While Junee was previously the state's cheapest servo for a while, Ms Ahern said prices are fairly in line with Wagga's.
The cheapest fuel at Junee is at the Mobil Service Station at 137.7 cpl.
