The Swans slipped to second position on the Riverina League ladder after a 16-point loss to Wagga Tigers at home at Exies Oval on Saturday.
It followed a 65-point loss to Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes to give Griffith consecutive losses for the first time under Griggs' reign as coach.
Griggs is not about to hit the panic button just yet but has put his players' resilience under the blowtorch this week.
"We made a few simple errors and showed a lack of character in the second half," Griggs said of the Swans' performance against Tigers.
"We haven't been able to respond when we've been put under the pump a little bit.
"We're starting games pretty well and we've been in winning positions in the first half but something seems to happen at half-time and we don't come out the same in the second half.
"Whether that's a few new faces, who aren't used to it, we'll have to try and figure out."
Griggs said he is not panicking yet.
"Not so much yet, we haven't really clicked yet so that's the goal," he said.
"Obviously losing two in a row and losing top spot isn't fantastic but there's three teams on the same points so we're not out of it.
"We play another good team this week so we get the chance to get back on the right track."
Griffith take on Colllingullie-Glenfield Park at Exies Oval on Saturday.
The Demons are not in great form either and have slipped to sixth position after an eight-point loss to MCUE last Saturday.
Griffith defeated the Demons by 41 points in round one but Griggs will not take a great deal out of that encounter.
"Yes and no," he said.
"Yes we won but I'd say they will have a lot different side to when we played them and it always takes a few weeks to get going.
"The good thing for us is it's at our home ground and they will be missing key personnel with (Luke) Gestier."
Gestier will miss the game due to a two-game suspension. But Griggs is right, the likes of Marc Geppert, Tom Keogh, Dan Kennedy, Dereck Singe, Will de Jong and potentially Ed Perryman will be available this time around.
Griffith will welcome back Sam Daniel (ribs) and Daniel Peruzzi (unavailable) from the team that loss to Tigers, while Jack Rowston may also come in for his first game since a knee reconstruction.
Nathan Richards (foot) is unlikely to return.
