Davidson will return to his position as senior steward for the Singapore Turf Club after six years in the SDRA.
Davidson's last race meeting will be at Murrumbidgee Turf Club on Monday, July 8 and his last day with Racing NSW will be on July 15 before starting in Singapore on August 1.
Davidson is looking forward to another stint in Singapore.
"I got contacted out of the blue," Davidson explained.
"I didn't really think I would get the opportunity to work over there so when they made contact, I couldn't knock it back."
Davidson said there is a lot to like about the Singapore position.
"I'll be 2IC to Terry Bailey over there and I'm looking forward to it," he said.
"I'm really looking forward to working with Terry. I've spoken on the phone to him a few times, when he was in Victoria, and had a few discussions with him but I've never worked a meeting with him so I'm really looking forward to it.
"The lifestyle is a big thing too. There is no travel, everything is in the one location. There is no nine hours in the car to Balranald or anything like that.
"The facilities are world class as well."
Terry Bailey was chief steward of Racing Victoria for 10 years before accepting the position as Singapore Turf Club's chief steward in August last year.
Davidson previously worked in Singapore for six years before moving to Wagga for the SDRA role.
He said he has thoroughly enjoyed his time in the Southern District.
"It was the right time," he said.
"I've made a lot of friends here, and I dare say, a few enemies.
"There is a hell of a lot of people and a lot of things that I will miss about the SDRA."
Racing NSW are in the process of finding a replacement for Davidson and have advertised the position internally.
There are races at Gundagai on Saturday and Corowa next Tuesday before Davidson's last meeting at Wagga.
