The ten-year-old will continue the long journey to that extremely lofty goal as part of a three-player NSW team to compete at the under-11 Australian Teams Championships at the Gold Coast next week.
The Mater Dei Primary School student, who played in the under-10s at this year's Australian Open, warmed up by finishing runner-up at the under-12 Easter tournament at Albury.
"I want to get to number one in the world and make it to the circuit," Dikkenberg said.
"(New women's world no.1 ) Ash Barty's been going good lately and I like (Austrian star) Dominic Thiem, he's my favourite."
"There'll be three people from each state (at the Gold Coast) as well as Japan and Hong Kong."
Elijah's father, Ash, said the family had recently installed a tennis court at their home and his son lives for the sport.
"He just loves tennis. We'll finish a tournament and driving home he'll see a tennis court and ask if he can have a hit. We've just got a tennis court at home and every morning he's out there.
"He's only ten but he has to compete against the 12 -year-olds to get ranking points."
