Gestier will miss the Demons' next two games after pleading guilty to using offensive language towards an umpire in Saturday's eight-point loss to Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes.
That is on top of missing two and a half quarters of football on Saturday, in what was a crucial clash for the Demons.
Gestier was initially yellow carded, and then red carded, for using offensive language towards an umpire after being disallowed a mark in the second quarter of the contest at Crossroads Oval.
The loss saw the Demons slip outside the top five at the halfway mark of the home and away season.
A remorseful Gestier is upset with what unfolded on Saturday and vowed not to let it happen again.
"I'm copping the penalty and I'm very disappointed in my actions," Gestier said.
"It's not really acceptable, not as a club, or as a coach.
"I'm disappointed to miss the next two weeks because the next couple of weeks are pretty big weeks for our footy club.
"I look forward to moving on."
The terms of suspension means Gestier is unable to play or coach for the next two games, against Griffith at Exies Oval and Leeton-Whitton at Crossroads Oval.
He is not allowed in the changerooms before or during the game, within 25 metres of the interchange bench, or to be communicating with the team.
It will pave the way for Collingullie-GP assistant Jimmy Kennedy to take over the coaching reins for the next fortnight.
Not only will the Demons miss Gestier, but they will also be without teenager Harry Radley, after he sprained his ankle in the last quarter of Saturday's loss to the Goannas.
Despite slipping to sixth spot, Gestier is going to stand by his playing group and the game plan.
"It's a big challenge now, we're staring down the barrel but we've put ourselves in this spot," he said.
"You can go dropping blokes or making changes but I still believe the systems we have in place will work, it's just as a side we're not gelling at the moment for one reason or another so we've got to get to the bottom of that.
"I wouldn't like to play us at the end of the year."
The Demons will get Daniel Frawley back from work commitments for Saturday's clash against Griffith, while Jason Ainsworth remains a 50-50 chance as he battles a kidney injury.
Griffith will also be looking for improvement after dropping their last two games.
