Gentleman Max made it back-to-back wins while Let's Get Animal also extended his consistent run of form.
The three-year-old has only missed the placings once in his last eight starts with the Wagga success his second win.
Sutherland was pleased with his efforts against the older horses
"The three-year-olds taking on the older horses find it pretty tough so it was good to see him oush out of the hole and do a few good things to really hit hard to the line," Sutherland said.
Sutherland also finished a close up third Our Romeo while Real Key ran a second.
He was also pleased with a fourth from My Maher down in distance behind Cash Crisis in the Anthony Wisely Constructions Wagga Winter Sprint (1000m).
It was a first victory for Cash Crisis since taking out the City Handicap over the Albury Gold Cup carnival in March last year.
