A victory over Griffith at Exies Oval on Saturday will catapult Tigers into top spot on the ladder at the halfway mark of the home and away season.
It will also give the club the two biggest scalps in the competition in the space of a fortnight.
But that is of little concern for Maiden, who has faith in Tigers' season, regardless of Saturday's result.
"It'd be nice to win but it's still June, we're still only halfway through," Maiden said.
"Our best footy is still a little bit in front of us. As long as we come out and keep improving each week that's all I'm after.
"A win would be good, but it's not the be all, end all."
Grant Daly returns to the Tigers team for the injured Shaun Driscoll, who will miss the majority of season that is left with a broken arm.
Griffith will be without ruckman Nathan Richards to injury, but get back experienced pair Alex Overs and Heath Northey for the clash.
Griffith were blown away by sixth-placed Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes by 65 points last week, the Swans' first home and away loss since August 2017.
Maiden is not looking into that result and believes the Swans are still as dangerous as ever.
"They've got some really smart ball users there with Griggs, Orton, Duncan and Iudica," he said.
"We've got to take their space away and not give them the chance to deliver it into their two forwards, they've obviously got Jacob and Lucas Conlan there, who are both dangerous and can both hurt you.
"So we've got to take the space away from their ball users and not give them the time to hit their forwards up."
Maiden said his team will embrace the challenge.
"I think I said it a couple of weeks ago but we're really looking forward to these next couple of weeks," he said.
"It's a challenge and this is probably the biggest challenge in the whole league at the moment, playing Griffith in Griffith.
"We're looking forward to it."
Meantime, Collingullie-Glenfield Park will be boosted by the return of Tom Keogh and Ed Perryman for their important clash against Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes at Crossroads Oval on Saturday.
The Demons feared they may not see any of Keogh this year after he hurt his calf badly in the off-season but after three games in reserve grade, he is now back into the senior team and will provide them with another valuable key position option.
