Albury apprentice Blaike McDougall and Wagga trainer Trevor Sutherland have the titles in the bag with seven race meetings remaining in the Southern District Racing Association (SDRA).
McDougall is on his way to his first SDRA premiership, having already amassed a whopping 59 winners in his first full season in the region.
He is 27 clear of Wagga apprentice Josh Richards.
Sutherland is set to win his fifth SDRA trainer's premiership with 41 winners in the region already under his belt.
New Albury trainer Mitchell Beer has moved into second position with 23 winners, in his first season in the SDRA.
McDougall has taken all before him this season, winning a couple of the regions biggest races in the Wagga Town Plate and Country Championship heat at Albury.
He also won the inaugural Tye Angland Medal for the leading jockey over the two big days of the Wagga Gold Cup carnival.
The SDRA season continues at Wagga on Sunday, where the Winter Sprint (1000m) will be the feature.
