Laser Tag, located at the top end of Baylis Street, is for sale with an asking price of $100,000, which includes stock.

Owner Glen White has been running the business for more than five years and said it has been "amazing".

"I did 28 years in defence and when I was discharged I made Wagga my home," Mr White said.

"This was my exit strategy from defence to civilian life, to run a small business and there was an opportunity to own Laser Tag.

"It's a great place to own as everyone who walks through the door is happy and they also leave happy."

The business trades five days a week, closed Mondays and Tuesdays, with weekends and school holidays the busiest times of year.

"We host between nine and 13 parties every weekend," Mr White said.

"It's crazy, but good fun and we've hosted an eight-year-old's birthday party to a 70^th as well as corporate nights.

"I suppose it's an enjoyable place to work as everyone is at their happiest, dealing with children on birthdays and it's pretty easy."

Mr White said he has chosen to list the business for sale in a bid to spend more time with his family.

"I own a Tactical Door store in town and my wife also works full time and I want to take tactical gear to the next level through my work in defence," he said.

"Weekends are busy with my kids and I don't want to sell it, but my personal life dictates and shows that something has to give because I also spend two days as an Army reservist.

"I kept Laser Tag in case my second business didn't work out and I had something to fall back on."

Mr White expects the business will sell quickly because it is not governed by franchise agreements.

"I'm only asking what I paid for it, which was over five years ago, and it's a fairly simple transition," he said.

"I think whoever buys it should work there because it does need some maintenance, but the good thing about Laser Tag is that it's not a franchise.

"You can run it how you like, or how the public dictates and it's not governed by franchise laws, so it's flexible and it's really your own."

The business was established in 2012.

Wagga business broker Peter Campbell said the business is located on two levels and is situated next to a proposed hotel.

"There's two levels of entertainment, about 450 square metres, which is a large area," he said.

"There's a games area, reception area, two function/party rooms and the other advantage is that it's right next to the site of the proposed hotel.

"It's got very good revenue and is a good business that you can run yourself or get staff to run."

Mr Campbell said that buyers would have to pay a "modest" licence fee.
