The Saints produced a big final quarter to break free for a 14.14 (98) to 7.4 (46) victory which moved them into top spot after East Wagga-Kooringal's loss just down the road at Temora.
"We're really happy to be on top of the ladder. We haven't talked about it at all. This year we've just been grinding out wins and not really doing it in a fashionable way but it's good if your best football is still in front of you and you're up near the top," North Wagga coach Kirk Hamblin said.
North Wagga led by three goals at half-time and not much more at the last break but opened up in the last quarter when they added more than 40 to their total.
Co-captain Cayden Winter led the way through the middle again while Ben Alexander was good at the back. Nahom Fitzgerald-Holmes and Troy Curtis both kicked three goals.
"I don't think the final score told the full story of the day," Hamblin said.
"It was an arm wrestle til three-quarter-time but I think our fitness in the last quarter probably helped us kick a away a bit. It's hard to play our natural game plan on the smaller grounds so I was really happy to win at Ariah Park."
Matt Wallis was dangerous up forward for the Jets while Hamish Gaynor and Mitch Doyle toiled hard but it was a costly loss as they slipped out of the five on percentage.
The Jets are at home again next week, hosting The Rock-Yerong Creek at Ardlethan, while North Wagga make another road trip, to Barellan.
