The Two Blues had hoped to have Ellis back from a broken hand but he remains at least a week away.
But captain Kabe Stockton comes back in for what shapes as a tough challenge.
"Obviously they had a loss last week (at Coleambally) so I'm sure they'll be revved up for it," coach Sean Browning said. "It was probably a game they might have pencilled in and I'm sure that would've hurt the coach. I think they'll come out firing."
As for their own backyard, Browning said they need to capitalise on midfield efforts and start strongly against a team coming off a loss.
"We've just got to finish up forward," he said. "In previous weeks, we were getting the first few forward entries from the centre but failing to convert, and the opposition would go down the other end and kick a goal."
After their first win of the season a month ago, the Two Blues dropped games against The Rock-Yerong Creek and Temora, to slip back to last even with last week's bye.
Browning said the absence of Ellis and Stockton hasn't helped.
"Sean's another week or two away, another week at least, anyway," Ellis said.
"Kabe Stockton's back. He's our captain and probably been our best player this year. With him and Sean out, it was a couple of big losses in our side, for our structure."
Marrar welcome back Jack Reynolds on half-back and Rhys Mooney up forward but are without assistant coach Cal Gardner (hamstring).
