Geriatrician Paul Finucane is a member of the hospital's art committee, a group of about 20 people, which is leading the way to bring in more artworks.
Professor Finucane said some of the works were commissioned, while others have come from groups including staff and students at the Wagga campus of TAFE.
"They look a lot better than the plain white walls," he said.
"It's nicer for staff, patients and visitors. We are trying to humanise a clinical, sterile space."
Professor Finucane said the committee was keen to add more than just visual arts to hospital spaces.
He said one option could be bringing in live music.
"Of course, we are never going to turn the hospital into an art gallery, but just because it's a clinical environment, doesn't mean there can't be something that makes it a more attractive place to be in," Professor Finucane said.
