Wagga City councillors will decide at Tuesday's meeting whether the Mobile Food Vending Trial will continue until August 15.
A report to councillors stated that 185 out of 186 customers surveyed "indicated that they would like to see the trial continued".
"The one business owner response was opposed to the trial on an unfair competition basis," the report stated.
"Five separate comments from business owners have also been received by staff related to the Mobile Food Vending Trial.
"These were primarily related to concerns about the proximity of vendors to their business."
Wagga mayor Greg Conkey had previously used his discretionary power to extend the trial until next week.
The trial started in January and banned mobile food vendors from Wagga's main restaurant, cafe and takeaway areas on Baylis and Fitzmaurice streets.
The vote to allow the trial was delayed last year to introduce more protections for 'bricks and mortar' businesses.
