Olsson's was judged best-on-ground by both coaches in the win over Turvey Park at Maher Oval on Saturday and picked up the maximum six votes.
Olsson takes the lead from his Lions' teammate Ben Walsh, who remains in a tie for second position.
Walsh and Coolamon star Jake Barrett share second spot with 12 votes, three behind Olsson on 15.
All four Riverina League games on Saturday delivered unanimous best-on-grounds with Collingullie-Glenfield Park's Nick Perryman, Coolamon's Joe Redfern and Griffith's Jacob Conlan all receiving six votes.
Conlan moved into fourth position with 11 votes.
There was no change at the top of the Farrer League with North Wagga's Cayden Winter remaining two votes clear in the Player of the Year award despite the Saints enjoying the bye.
Winter (17) leads Temora's Robert Krause on 15, with The Rock-Yerong Creek's Jim Carroll moving into third place to sit on 13 votes.
